MOTD

Phil Neville couldn't stop cumming over Hazard, no mention of all the referee decisions against us all game.
and yes it was offside but not that the panel care, Hazard is so good he deserves an offside goal.

The bit I don't get, is they all agree Hazard WAS off side, but it was only marginal, or only a foot, so it should stand? what are they talking about. Its one of two things on side, and a good goal, or close, but a foot off side No goal. simple.

I reckon we should just have foreign referees - ones who don't give a shit which club is playing
As for MOTD, the punditry is generally pointless now. I even miss alan Hansen and his cliched defensive frailty assessments

Allwzys better to side with the top sides, if you get a decision wrong you will be talked about all week, if its west ham or similar whos going to talk about us. I heard three reports today and the only thing mentioned that was west ham related was the name of the ground chelsea played at.

Neville is a poor pundit, constantly repeats himself and is no better than some fan off the street.

Sols My take on last night's events was a combination of poor officiating and abject finishing.....
In short we bottled it big time

Northern fair enough and I don't think the world is against though I don't think we have had the rub of the green from a number decisions this season, yet i doubt we are any different from most other supporters in feeling that way but last night was quite blatant after a few minutes how the game was going to be officiated and that is wrong.

The vast majority believe the reason we lost is because we didn't take a chances but it shouldn't mean we cannot comment on the standard of officiating last night which can influence a game as much as any miss chance can.

Mariner is an abject cunt of a referee who should no longer be allowed to draw breath.... But would you hear any of the BBC panel say as much?
I doubt it

I don't know about any of this bollocks, but what is troubling me is that Allardyce's head seems to be getting much larger with every match. He already resembled one of those bighead football figures from the 90s. I can imagine him taking off from the touchline next match, especially with all the HOT AIR he spouts. Massive headed cunt.

Penners28, as I said I am not one to criticise officials nor do I think we were blatantly cheated but simply believe on what I witnessed last night was a group of officials so clearly going out of their way as not to upset one side.
Officials make mistakes but the amount I saw last night either suggested they were incompetent or human beings who had been influenced by Mourinho's comments to them beforehand and at the game that he quite openly admitted doing.

The referees are star struck with the top managers at big clubs and don't want to upset them or be linked to controversy in the papers for getting something wrong. Easier to favour them in tight decisions and nobody in the media will raise an eyebrow to a Hull, West Ham, Swansea or Southampton getting a raw deal.
It's the way it is. On TV and with replays it's very easy to see the dives and 'clever' play which wins these teams games but officials can't tell for definite at match speed so will make decisions based on what is likely to cause the least issue for them if they are wrong.

I was quite shocked at how often chelsea got caught in posession or gave the ball away last night.
I'd like to think it was a result of us pressing high up the pitch, but it did surprise me.

Hazard is a great player, one of the best in the Premier. My only reservation about him is how frequently he appears to be on the deck, mortally wounded. Same as that Zouma last night. They've certainly got that part of the game all sown up.

I just like looking at football through non claret and blue specs sometimes. to come out with "if it was the other was around it wouldnt have been a goal" is pure speculation.
if we think the officials have cheated, which is what people are basically suggesting, then contact the club and get them to make an official complaint.
bad decisions happen to all clubs, its part and parcel. it just seems it highlighted more when a "big club" gets the rub of the green. last week people were, all of a sudden, experts in the laws of the game and decided Kane shouldnt have been able to put in the rebound (when in fact it was a perfectly good goal). This week its cheating linos and an offside hazard goal.
next week will be something else i'd imagine.
